Hodu is not really part of Sukkot de Zimra evidenced by the fact that Nusach Sefard says it even before Baruch She'amar but now really begins Sukkot de Zimra and this is based on a major thesis of Rav Schwab. Namely that in Baruch She'amar when we say Negadlecha Unishabchacha Unifaercha Venamlichecha Venazker Shimcha that these five expressions are a heading and subtitle for the rest of um Shmona Esrei for the rest of Sukkot de Zimra. Namely the first part of Sukkot de Zimra is referred to as Negadlecha. And as Rav Schwab explained the word Negadlecha does not mean to make great cuz the last entity in the world that needs us to make great is God. The United States of America needs to be made great again. The Almighty does not need to be made great. So the word Negadlecha does not mean to make great but it means gidul. Gidul means to braid. Legadel like Miriam Megadla Se'ar to braid and the first part of Sukkot de Zimra is braiding. I would venture to say that before this introduction no one has ever understood the beginning of Sukah d'Zimra in their entire life. Because they said Hodu, and after Hodu, we randomly recite Psukim. The Psukim that we say at the end of Hodu are a random conglomeration of Psukim in Tehillim and Divrei Hayamim, and the good thing is, since we have no idea what we're talking about, we don't even think what we're trying to do. And what's amazing is a person could say Psukei d'Zimra for decades, say it a thousands of times, and never even had not 1% understanding, even a billionth of an percent of understanding of an
