so today is um we'll get to first talk about the para I'll get to today very special day so this week's paraa is um para it's a hard one to pronounce it is the final para of The Book of Leviticus which is the third book of the Torah so at the end of this week we are three fifths of the way through the Torah we're getting there more than halfway through and so this week's paraa it has really two parts the first half starts really two parts the first half starts off by saying if you follow in my ways and you keep my Commandments then I will provide all sorts of wonderful things for you everything will be wonderful you will um you will overcome your enemies and you will have um food and rain and um everything and you'll be healthy and everything will be fine and then it says if you do not follow me and you do not keep my Commandments then you will have famine and you will have disease and you will have war and um you will be driven will have war and um you will be driven from the land and it goes to a long detail of what into great detail of what will happen if you do not follow my Commandments and so that is the first part of the para we've done a class in the past about um the Jewish belief in reward and Punishment um both physical reward and Punishment as well as spiritual um or reward and Punishment in the next World um in the afterlife we've uh so then the second
