welcome to the elus podcast this is class number 14 in the discourse which is the fifth discourse in the overall book and we are holding a middle chapter 19 plowing through chapter 19 a phenomenal discussion over here into the experience at Sinai at har what that was when we received the Torah um this I think is class the eighth class in chapter 19 itself um I think so any case we are holding over here the last thing he left us off again we tried to give two explanations into that experience one was particularly the sages tell us based on the verse that the people saw the sounds that they saw what is usually heard and they heard what is usually seen so um the question is what's the essence of that experience the first explanation he tried giving suggesting was that perhaps um it means to the minimal to the minimal of it which means the power of vision remained the power of vision the power of hearing remained the power to hear the range of hearing of seeing only expanded that what we usually cannot see because it's too lofty it's too spiritual they were able to see something a little more spiritual they were able to see the sound waves and that is because as he'd explained that has to do with the fact that the power of vision opened up from the very essence usually our power of of vision is already modified Because by the time it gets into the Eyes by the time it gets into the emanated state of vision
