The opening of this shiur, in Vayimaen’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

These weeks of Shmois, Vaeira, Bo, Beshalach, Yisro, Mishpatim are known from the Kadmonim to be called the Shovavim, which is a roshei teivos of these six parshiyos. And this is based on a pasuk of Shuvu Bonim Shovavim. These weeks, the Kadmonim tell us, is a time that we do teshuvah. We return to the Eibishter. And we read about the avodah of great tzaddikim in previous generations, what they did in these weeks, how they fasted, how they purified themselves, how they davened and said Tehillim in a most incredible manner. What's the understanding of this min hakodesh? Why is it that these weeks are designated to teshuvah, to repentance, to get closer to the Eibishter? I once heard a most powerful and beautiful insight. If you would like to define clearly the difference and the distinction between Sefer Bereishis and Sefer Shmois, Sefer Bereishis is a sefer that talks about the avois, Avrohom, Yitzchok, v'Yaakov, the shvatim. Sefer Shmois talks about the next generation, the bonim, the eileh shmois bnei Yisroel haboim Mitzrayimah. But the clear definition of the difference between Bereishis and Shmois is, Sefer Bereishis is the sefer of potential. Avrohom Avinu, Yitzchok Avinu, Yaakov Avinu withstood incredible tests and nisyonos, beginning with the Ur Kasdim, when Avrohom Avinu was ready to sacrifice his life, culminating in the incredible nisayon of the Akeidah, that Avrohom Avinu took his one and only son that he loved and cherished so much, Yitzchok, and he put him on the mizbeach. And then we have the life of Yitzchak, the life of Yankev, and all the trials and tribulations that Yankev Avinu endured and withstood by Lavan, by Esav.
