Hello everyone. We've reached the Haftorah of Parshat Tazria-Metzora. The Haftorah for Rosh Chodesh is a very special one >> [music] >> that connects us not only to the time, but also to the essence. It reminds us of the renewal of the world, the eternal bond between the Jewish people and God, and the hope for a future of redemption and comfort. [music] And now to the Haftorah. God begins by reminding us of something very fundamental. The entire universe belongs to him. The heavens are like his royal throne, >> [music] >> and the earth is merely a footstool for >> and the earth is merely a footstool for his feet. In other words, there is no place [music] where you can contain God within the boundaries of a house or a building. It's not just about a physical place, but about [music] a deeper understanding. God is infinite. He is above everything, and [music] nothing can limit him. But precisely from this greatness, Hashem reveals something surprising [music] to us. He is not looking for grand buildings or merely external deeds, but rather looks to the simple [music] person, the humble one, the one with a broken heart and true awe of heaven. broken heart and true awe of heaven. A person who feels their humbleness before the creator and lives with sensitivity to the word of God. >> [music] >> That's what truly matters. On the other hand, there are people who do things that seem good on the surface, who make sacrifices, who bring offerings, [music] but inside they are distant. Their actions don't come from a pure place, >> [music] >> but rather from choosing the wrong path. And so, even though they do things that [music] look religious, they are not desirable before God.
