They're like nails." Says the Medrash, "When are the words of sages like a nail?" When they die. What does that mean? Rav Tzadok Hakohen explains, "When the Rabbi is alive, people don't pay attention fully. I'll I'll watch the video later. I'll watch the recording later. I'll ask him the next week. Once the Rabbi passes on, his words enter the hearts of the students like a peg. That's the Medrash, according to Rav Tzadok Hakohen. Which means whenever a tzaddik passes away, the day he passes are the day his teachings are ingrained in the Jewish people. What would you say is the main teaching of Rabbi Yosef Caro?
