Lekutei Sichos, Chelek Lammed Daled, volume 34, the first sicha for parshas Ki Savo. This sicha will explain exactly when the mitzvah, meaning the obligation of the mitzvah bikurim took effect, and also how it relates to our daily avodas Hashem, and also to the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe. As a quick introduction, to be familiar with some of the concepts that will be discussed in the sicha, so we have mitzvos hatluyos ba'aretz. There are many mitzvos which the Torah stipulates that the effect, meaning the obligation of them take effect only upon entry or perhaps settlement of Eretz Yisrael. Meaning, their Bnei Yisrael entered Eretz Yisrael, but it took a total of 14 years until they were koivush, till they conquered all the lands, that's about 7 years, and then did they dividing and settling of Eretz Yisrael. So most mitzvos that are contingent upon settling in Eretz Yisrael did not take effect until after those 14 years. The mitzvah of bikurim is another concept which obviously is in meant in the beginning of our parsha. This mitzvah is to bring from the first of the fruits of one's produce, one's crops. Now, that has some very very specific stipulations. Number one, it has to be specifically from a field and the fruits that belong to that person, and to the extent that a person has to actually say a confessional in which he expresses his gratitude to Hashem for
