good evening everyone and welcome to our zoom support group called the resilient single mothers support group and tonight is hanukkah and i want to share with you some thoughts about hanukkah and then we'll open up the floor to thoughts and discussions as is our system opening up the floor at the beginning to your questions your thoughts your feelings that we can deal with in the evening tonight however since it is hanukkah i tonight however since it is hanukkah i want to begin with some words of encouragement and words of inspiration about hanukkah and then and how it applies to our lives and then we'll open up the floor in our usual way of listening to thoughts and questions and then we'll i'll give a suggestion and perhaps we'll have some some further feedback i lived in london england for nine years and i was very close with the chief rabbi chief rabbi lord jonathan sachs rabbi chief rabbi lord jonathan sachs sax zechronali rafa he passed away last month and i worked very closely with him as a the rabbi of the new west end synagogue and i founded a conference called the encounter conference he asked me to to work on to reach out to people to inspire people and he was a giant he was a giant a giant speaker a giant inspirer an orator speaker a giant inspirer an orator a thinker an intellectual very fine person and his loss his passing affected me very greatly that's in fact one of the reasons why i started the past month all of these zoom support groups because i felt that time is fleeting and if a giant like jonathan sacks left this world
