0:00 Let us say Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah. "For the conductor, with melodies, a psalm, a song." And perhaps they can understand the greatness of the virtue in saying the Menorah — Lamnatzeach, which is said in the shape of the Menorah. And it has to be said in front of the face.
0:24 Not like this — say it truly "toward the face of the Menorah." Say it like this — men and women alike, everyone, whoever wants to say it. It is a virtue great beyond all measure. It rises before the Holy One, blessed be He, for we are engaging in the Menorah, and lighting it in Heaven; Divine abundance flows down. It is a tremendous thing; there is no virtue above it. There is great virtue, of course, in having it on parchment too; but whoever doesn't have it on parchment can also use a printed one, the one printed in the siddur, even with the explanation of the words — Psalm 67 in the Book of Tehillim.
0:54 And one can learn the commentators' explanation, so as to know this psalm really well and say it. In front of the face it has a segulah and a very, very great virtue, and it gives the Holy One, blessed be He, very great pleasure. Especially when it is said before Yihyu L'ratzon, "May the words of my mouth find favor" — before the second Yihyu L'ratzon. You say the first one, and before the second Yihyu L'ratzon you pause at the first Yihyu L'ratzon, and then one says Elokai Netzor, "My G-d, guard my tongue from evil." Between this Yihyu L'ratzon and Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera — that is where to say Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah.
1:23 Here — Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah; that is the place to say it. Every time, before a person reaches Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera, he should hold Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah, set it like this in front of his face, and then say Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera. There are also those whose custom is to say Shir LaMa'alos there. But it is good to say it exactly there, before Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera, and then you say: Elokai, netzor leshoni mera, u'sfasai midaber mirmah. To say Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah, always — whether on Yom Kippur, at Ne'ilah, Rosh Hashanah, all the time. The whole year it is good to say it — Shabbos, Rosh Chodesh, always: before saying Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera, hold Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah there,
1:59 lift it up in front of the face, say Lamnatzeach, and then Elokai, netzor leshoni mera, u'sfasai midaber mirmah — and continue the tefillah and finish. This is a very, very great thing; it has great virtue. And all of this power is drawn specifically from Zos Chanukah, when we are now heading into a flow of abundance, with great mercy, that salvations, miracles and wonders be drawn upon us. Let us make our requests before Hashem, blessed be He, that He save us in all the things we need, materially and spiritually, and to bring about, before Hashem, blessed be He, salvations. Right now there is great power.
2:31 May Hashem save you; may we hear and be told good tidings from all the Jewish people, and may we merit the complete geulah, speedily in our days, amen. There is no problem reading it left to right as well as right to left; no problem at all. It is preferable to read from right to left, but the Menorah printed in the siddurim from left to right — that too can be said; there is no problem with it at all. Lamnatzeach. Ana B'Koach also has virtue, and Shir LaMa'alos too has virtue when it is made in the shape of the Menorah.

3:00 In the past, many tzaddikim used to carry it with them, like an amulet. They would write it and make it in the shape of Menorahs. But the main Menorah, and its virtue, is Lamnatzeach. That is the very, very, very important thing. There were many holy men who did have the custom of making it — Shir LaMa'alos — and that... ...there are those who had the custom of doing so. But still, the thing greatest in virtue is Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah, in front of the face. It is in every siddur. It doesn't matter whether it is left to right or right to left.
3:27 Right to left is preferable, that is true, but it doesn't matter. The main thing is to say Lamnatzeach, because there were many holy men who did go from left to right. I spoke about this once in a shiur. The correct way is right to left, as I do. But when I simply happen to have it in front of me left to right, I say the Menorah left to right too. It doesn't matter. But I recommend that everyone have the Menorah, to pray from the siddur, with kavanah, every time before saying Elokai Netzor Leshoni Mera, and may kedushah and blessing be drawn upon us. — What's that?
3:56 Excellent. That is the best thing there is. If you can picture the Menorah within your thought — to close your eyes and picture it truly in gold, the whole Menorah, to imagine it just so, eighteen handbreadths tall, and you truly see the appearance of the Menorah in your mind, you truly see the whole form of the Menorah, you can truly picture it, and you see the flames, and you see the fire, you truly — you feel that you are standing right in front of it, and you say Lamnatzeach inside the branches.
4:22 That is to say, it is read in this way, you read it — at the first branch you say: "For the conductor... with melodies... a psalm... a song." Do you understand? You don't say, "For the conductor, with melodies, a psalm, a song." "For the conductor... with melodies... a psalm... a song." Read each whole branch separately. As if joining them together — but read them separately.
4:47 The way I read it: "For the conductor, with melodies, a psalm, a song." "May G-d be gracious to us and bless us; may He shine His face upon us, Selah." "To make Your way known on earth, Your salvation among all nations." "The peoples will thank You, G-d; all the peoples will thank You." "Nations will rejoice and sing for joy, for You judge the peoples with fairness, and guide the nations on earth, Selah." "The peoples will thank You, G-d; all the peoples will thank You. The earth has given its produce; may G-d, our G-d, bless us. May G-d bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear Him." To truly see it — you, with each and every branch, to see it. And this is a very, very great virtue, one that cannot be measured. About two months ago —
5:18 I don't know if anyone remembers — there was a certain Jew whose face became paralyzed. His face twisted to the side. He went to doctors, and all kinds of stories, and they told him he had had a stroke and would never be able to recover. And he was truly ashamed because of it. His wife, too, was distressed, because his face had become paralyzed and gone to the side. He went to several doctors; they told him there would be no salvation for him, nothing to be done — pills, I don't know what. At that place they got him all tangled up; they told him there was nothing he could do.
5:54 I said to him: I don't know what "nothing to be done" means. There is something to do. There is Hashem, blessed be He, in the world, right? He, blessed be He, does everything — He "made, makes and will make all that is made." I told him: come, listen. Take Lamnatzeach in the shape of the Menorah, put it in front of your face. Read it in front of your face, say it — Lamnatzeach — every day. After three days. Yes, three days. Two days or three, not very long — he simply got up in the morning, he looks in the mirror, he rubs his eyes, he thinks he is in a dream: everything had come back to him, his whole face had come back, everything was whole.
6:29 "And what is this thing?" I told him: this is the virtue of the Menorah — "toward the face of the Menorah." Now you are doing it facing the Menorah, your whole Menorah is complete — because the face is the Menorah. Now everything has been made whole. And truly, that is how it was. So it is a segulah. I don't know if it is now also a segulah for someone who had a paralysis from a stroke — it is a segulah for every person, a segulah for all kinds of wonders, for all kinds of things, and with Hashem's help, I recommend it to everyone.
6:56 This is, of course, also the Lamnatzeach that... that Rabbi Moshe Zacuto of Mantua explained, with the initials of the Names. There are several segulos in this Lamnatzeach; it holds a great many holy Names, and this is the Name that would wipe out the enemies of King David when he went out to war. It has a very, very, very great virtue, and so it is worthwhile for people to be regular with this psalm. It is a very, very, very important thing. [name unclear] — a complete recovery.
7:22 For a good recovery, for a good recovery — for healing and life from Heaven. May you merit a free gift; may great mercy be aroused upon you, with flows of goodness. Hashem, blessed be He, knows all your wishes; may He fulfill all the requests of your hearts, for good and for blessing. As I said yesterday, I pray for each and every one who has come. Even those we don't get to meet and hear one another — we will pray for each and every one, wherever he may be: everyone who is here praying together with us, each one, everyone sitting there at the back, whoever is sitting in the corner — each and every one.
7:52 We will pray for each and every one of you, that Hashem, blessed be He, Who knows everything, will fulfill your wishes — with salvations, miracles and wonders, with good tidings; and everything you need, may Heaven save you with good that is seen and revealed, in joy and gladness of heart. Yesterday a woman approached me — excuse me, I'm over here — a righteous woman here, who had run after the Rav at the public receptions several times, for me to pass a question on to the Rav. I tried and did not succeed.
8:27 And yesterday she came to tell me that the Rav came to her in a dream and gave her the answer she needed. He gave her the solution. So in a dream too — "in a dream I speak with him." Earlier, a very great emotion came over people. There was very great emotion here earlier, and an awakening. People come here and don't understand. Aside from the open miracles that are seen here, the Rav teaches us that the greatest miracle is when a Jew lifts his eyes to Heaven and turns to Hashem.
8:58 There was a guard here who was standing outside, looking at the sky. I saw that he was stirred, and looking at everyone. After Aleinu he asks: "May I? Tefillin, please?" However far away he seemed — on the spot, it works on the spot. Everyone who comes here — I saw with my own eyes people singing and seeing. That is the greatest truth. "Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good" — "for His kindness endures forever!" "Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good, for His kindness endures forever!" This is something new now.
