Shalom Aleichem. Welcome to the Weekly Breslov Parshah Shiur. This week is Chayei Sarah. Chayei Sarah speaks about the passing of Sarah Imeinu, our matriarch Sarah, and how Avraham Avinu, who was promised the land by HaShem, still bought - he purchased the area of Me’arat HaMachpelah, the Cave of Machpelah in Chevron for a burial place. The Zohar teaches us that Avraham, when the angels came to visit him last week in Vayeira, he ran after a calf in order to slaughter it and serve it to the angels. And the calf ran away, and Avraham ran after it, and he caught up with it in the Cave of Machpelah. There, was already buried Adam and Eve. And there, he saw tremendous lights - glowing lights - that were actually the entrance to Gan Eden, to the Garden of Eden. That were those lights. And Avraham said, "I want this place." And when Sarah passed away, he did everything he could to purchase it. And the Torah tells us what went on. He asked the people, "I’d like this property." They said, "Of course, you can have it." He said, "It’s not good enough. I need the actual owner of the property," which was Efron. And Efron said, "Okay, you can have it for nothing." Avraham said, "No, that’s not the way I do things. I purchase. I pay top dollar." So Efron charged him top dollar. Charged him top dollar - he said, "You can have it for nothing." "No." "What’s 400 silver talents between us?" So Avraham Avinu purchased the plot. The Midrash says there are three places where it says that
