What merit do I have to say that I'm better than any one of you? That is clearly false. How inappropriate is that? How truly disgusting this is? How can I possibly claim to be better than you when I never even grew up in your very own home? There are some young men here who grew up in secular homes. In homes that weren't religious at all and look at these zadikim sitting and listening to Torah teachings. Rather, I grew up in a religious home. My father never lit a light on Shabbat. In my entire life, I never saw my mother dressed with immodesty. My mother was modest from the day I was born, a modest from the day I was born, a righteous and good woman. Never in my life did I see meat and milk mixed in the kitchen of my home. There are people here who grew up in a house where they lit a light on Shabbat, drove to the beach in a car, ate meat and milk together, but now they repented and now attend Torah lectures and it would be unjust for me to judge you. You made a mistake. Many people come to me who've made mistakes in their lives. Everyone stumbled. One stumbled with this, another with that.
