prime ministers, majesties, presidents, only yourselves. My name is Daniel Glatstein and I want to thank my host Rabbi Saul Horvath for graciously hosting me this week and especially for driving us around today in interminable traffic. We were in the car for hours and hours and hours. We were only three blocks away, but Okay. So, yeah, that's right. So, I'd like to speak this evening about the kedusha of Eretz Yisrael. We're all the kedusha of Eretz Yisrael. We're all here in the holy land. We're all breathing the air. We're all experiencing the great kedusha of a makom that Moshe Rabbeinu was mispallel just to be able to see it. Moshe Rabbeinu davened that if I can't be there as a human being, then at least let me enter as a behema. Moshe said if I can't enter as a behema, then let me fly through as an ofe. And when Moshe Rabbeinu was not given access to where here, we're walking the streets. We're enjoying the experience. streets. We're enjoying the experience. So, I'd like to try to uncover new dimension to the kedusha of Eretz Yisrael and let's begin by asking a few questions. Friday night instead of saying Baruch Ata Hashem Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu we say Ufros Aleinu Sukas Shlomecha. God, spread over upon us the canopy of peace. Baruch Ata Hashem Hafores Sukas Shlomeinu. He who spreads the canopy of peace upon He who spreads the canopy of peace upon us and on all of Israel and over Jerusalem. Which is random. Why are we saying that God spreads peace over Jerusalem Friday night? We always want God to spread peace over Jerusalem. We don't mention it any other night of the week. Why focus on it on Shabbat? What does Jerusalem have to do with Shabbat more than Tuesday night? Why do we randomly throw in the mention of Shabbat
