so says the kuzari that we are talking about the names we use to refer to hashem and we talked about three categories and we talked about three categories first categories are names that are based on his actions and his actions are through what we would call a natural intermediary the second are names that are that are sort of referred to him by virtue of our desire to praise him and in the third which is the the third category is what we call negative terms that is when we say something we actually mean the opposite of what we're saying oh what do i mean when we say god is alive we really mean that god is not dead we mean that god is not dead when you say the other day when you explain like god is not this negative is god is not not what i'm saying so that's the category so what now he says because most people when they think of somebody who is alive right when when you say something somebody is not alive what do you mean what do most people think you talk about you're talking about someone's dead and so if we say that god is not dead what do we mean he's alive so in a sense we're saying he's alive but we really don't understand what in what sense god is alive because
