Shalom Aleikhem, friends. Welcome to this week's sicha, parshas Chukat. Uh this involves the Para Aduma, the red heifer, one of the most important, if you will, and mysterious uh at the same time of the mitzvahs of the Torah, fundamental in its message in terms of God's relationship to us on so many levels, as we will see. >> [snorts] >> And um in the sicha, uh the Rebbe discusses various elements uh the Rebbe discusses various elements that we find regarding the this mitzvah, Para Aduma, the red heifer, and um how they're related. They seem to be independent. They're brought in different commentary, different classics, various elements of this mitzvah. But then when you put them together and you connect the dots, you see that this is one big thread. So, let's take a look and jump right in. So, red heifer element number one. We're going to discuss a total of four elements involving the red heifer. Element number one is it's very Moses-centric. Now, the whole Torah was given through Moses. It's even called sometimes the Torah of Moses. However, we don't find really by any other mitzvah it should be so Moses-centric. Uh for example, we have it on the screen. Uh the language is they shall take for you. That it had to be brought to Moses. That it had to be brought to Moses. And all future heifers will cease to exist, yours will endure is the language of the Medrish, that Moses' heifer represents that it will always be around. Next, all future heifers required ashes from Moses to purify the ministering Kohens. They would [snorts] maintain ashes from the first red heifer of Moses and keep it in keepsake. And each subsequent time when they had to prepare a red heifer, which required special purification for the cohen involved in that process,
