all right good evening ladies and gentlemen nice to see everyone on wednesday night 8 p.m and even though as life is somewhat getting back to normal around the world we always have our thoughts and prayers with our brothers and sisters in the land of israel thank god this past week has not been as bad as the previous weeks but we have seen over the past week some very uh unfortunate um anti-semitic anti-israel anti-state of israel protests and violence shalom god forbid and i guess all of our prayers this evening in merit of the shimshon and is to have safety and protection for the entire world and specifically our brothers and sisters in earth israel and all jews around the world there are some jews who who call me and they say rabbi rabbi i don't feel comfortable you know going out to wearing a kippah i don't feel comfortable uh being making it obvious that i'm jewish and whatever that means and i reminded him here i'll tell you a funny story i reminded i have one of my students he's uh he's in his thirties and he left last saturday night mozaicha but he left to turkey anyone who leaves to turkey who goes to travels to turkey these days everyone knows why they go they go for hair implants it's like a quarter if not less of the price than doing it here so he asked me he said rabbi i'm definitely not going to be wearing a kippah in turkey but i'm scared to even bring my tiffilin in my talit because if someone sees that they'll know i'm jewish and god forbid i may be a target i told him my dear friend i don't want to mention his name i told him they know you're jewish
