Um if you look on your map, the city of Shrem is the most northern city that we have noted on our map over here. It's also known in English as Nablus. They call it Nabilas. It's a very interesting story. The city of Shrem, the biblical city of Schm was actually destroyed and was rebuilt in Roman times by the Roman was rebuilt in Roman times by the Roman emperor Vespian. And he called the city Neopolus, which in Latin means new city. Neo means new. Polus means city. So Vespian built this new city on the site of the ancient. He called it Neopololis. And then that sort of became corrupted into nabulus because the um the Arabs can't pronounce the P sound, right? So Arabs confuse the P and the B sound. So Neopololis becomes Neopololis becomes Nabulis. You know like the the old joke um what does what does BBC stand for? Palestinian Broadcasting Company. Is this the same shakim where yep is oh yes that is the same the same city we'll speak about we'll get to that in a few moments the city of Naples in Italy is also the same idea neopolis became corrupted into Naples in Italy so it's a the same idea new city
