0:00 With Hashem's help, we will receive the Torah with thunder and lightning. Remember: all this time that we receive the Torah today, that is all the understanding in Torah, and all the interpretation, all the new insights; it all flows down on Shavuos, the receiving of the Torah. To read the parashah, to read the receiving of the Torah, that is the main thing, that is very important. Even so, it is a great intention. Someone who is tired—[unclear]—should rest, [unclear] at night, when he will be able to pray and do the Tikkun. One can read Tehillim, one can read...

0:29 It is much more important to do the Tikkun. Whoever cannot do the Tikkun—as [unclear] wrote, that there is a supreme virtue in it and it accomplishes the rectifications of the Shechinah— who cannot do it—to read Tehillim. The most important is the 613 mitzvos. That is the most important, that is the very body of the Torah, what comes out as the main thing in keeping the way of Hashem, the mitzvos of Hashem, what He [unclear] in His holy Torah, when we received the Torah, and to be awake at night [unclear].

0:54 According to what is written in Midrash Rabbah on Shir HaShirim, parashah [unclear], that [unclear] fell asleep, they fell asleep, and then the Holy One, blessed be He, woke them with thunder and lightning and [unclear]. He woke them up, He made lightning for them, the whole world was a great noise, lightning and thunder, and He woke them in order to receive the Torah. This [unclear] for their having fallen asleep, and one needs to be awake on this night.

1:19 Therefore there is a very, very great virtue for whoever wants, with Hashem's help, to learn Torah at night: he is promised that he will complete his year, and may we merit through this that they have long days and years. Amen. Until next Shavuos. [unclear] the kabbalists, it comes out to a year, so the meaning is until a year, until next Shavuos, not until Rosh Hashanah. Until next Shavuos, until next year, until Shavuos. That is very important. What did he say? - One can annul a decree of Rosh Hashanah.

1:44 - Yes, one can annul decrees. [unclear] as if "he will complete his year" is until Rosh Hashanah. But, with Hashem's help, "he will complete his year" means until Shavuos. We want to merit a year, because "he will complete his year" is until [unclear]. Yes, until [unclear]. He thinks "his year" [unclear]. One can say that about it as well. And it is very important to immerse in the mikveh, to go to the mikveh. One can already go from three-thirty, from three to four, to go to the mikveh already. It is very, very important, [unclear] will merit a great level, and to have intention in the mikveh.

2:16 To enter into the fiftieth gate, the Gate of Nun of kedushah. To have in mind to enter the Gate of Nun of kedushah, to receive the lights and to remove from ourselves the filth of the serpent, the most important [unclear] of the mikveh, and of course to read a lot of Tehillim for King David, since it is the day of his [unclear], and the virtue is very, very, very great for one who engages in and reads the book of Tehillim. One can also learn the Tehillim, one can also say [unclear] a few, with intention, with commentaries, and the main and most important thing is the commentaries.

2:52 When a person reads with intention—not to read now a lot, a lot, the whole Tehillim ten times, standing on one foot, and to think: I am already accomplishing things. No. Here, slowly, slowly, with sweetness of the lips, slowly, slowly, calmly, to pray before [unclear]. I will teach you: the Sfas Emes of Gur once saw a Jew, and heard him say, "I say the whole Tehillim every day." So he said to him, "How nice for you. I read in one psalm, and now my head is bursting. I cannot say [unclear] psalm. How nice for you that you say it—you are overlooking it."

3:19 One has to tell him the thought: one chapter, how many depths, [unclear] to read and to learn. I read, baruch Hashem, I read Tehillim—two years. I read the book, and today I am, after two years, at Psalm 26. Two years. My other siyumim I have made, nine I have finished, but the Tehillim I still have not finished. Two years. For two years I have been reading Tehillim.

3:45 I am at Psalm 26. Slowly, slowly I read them, the slowest there is. I read a chapter slowly. With commentaries, with midrashim, with intention of the heart, every verse. That is how I read Tehillim. I do not [unclear]; I read slowly, slowly. With intention, because it [unclear] to Heaven, and [unclear]. When it is possible, one can also read— I also have a set order of Tehillim, but the most important is the order of slowly. When you read Tehillim slowly, with intention, that is very, very, very important.

4:15 After that, with Hashem's help, we will honor this, that is enough, and we will rejoice on the day of the hillula of King David. Whoever comes to us for Shavuos, then he too fulfills his obligation, if he comes to the tomb of King David, to the hillula of King David. That is a very great thing. Whoever wants to go up for the festival pilgrimage can as well. One can go up today, on the eve of the festival, or go up at the close of the festival of Shavuos. That too counts as going up for the pilgrimage, and the important thing [unclear] is both to have in mind the receiving of the Torah and to mention the merit of King David.

4:44 It is the day of his [unclear], for David died on Atzeres. [unclear] he died on Shabbos, Shabbos, [unclear] Atzeres, Shabbos—that is the Tosafos in Tractate Chagigah, on page 17. [unclear] Tosafos there, that it comes out in practice that [unclear] on Atzeres, on Shabbos, on Shabbos, on Shabbos and Atzeres, and this is in the name of the Yerushalmi, Atzeres, Chagigah, in the Yerushalmi, Chagigah, it is chapter 2, halachah 3. There it is written that King David died on Atzeres, together with Shabbos; so [unclear] with the Tosafos in Chagigah on page 17, it comes out the same thing.

5:11 King David also died on Shabbos, which was Atzeres, [unclear]—no, there is no difficulty. In truth it was also on Shabbos, on a Shavuos that fell on Shabbos. How can that be? That too remains in need of further study, but so it is written; we stay with the wording So that is how it was, so we, with Hashem's help, will mention the merit of King David, we will mention the merit of all the holy ones and the tzaddikim, amen, amen; of the holy Baal Shem Tov, amen; of the Baal Shem Tov— grant us, with Hashem's help—may his [unclear] protect us, amen—of the Baal Shem Tov, the day of his hillula, who [unclear], age 92, he raised up many students, and did great things before Hashem, blessed be He, and merited to act and to [unclear] troubles and decrees [unclear] the Jewish people;

5:54 may his merit protect us. Amen, amen. And with Hashem's help, by his merit, to be redeemed with an upraised hand, to be redeemed with an upraised hand, to be redeemed—the Beis HaMikdash, the Holy Temple, speedily in our days.
