There is also that tremendous thing, an amazing thing. Every mitzvah that a Yid is mekuyem today, even the smallest mitzvah, has greater chashivus in Shamayim than the mitzvahs that were done the time of the Tana'im and Amoraim. Why? Because in our day we have yeridas hadoros, we have tremendous hester panim, Hakadosh Baruch Hu conceals His face, and therefore our challenges are much, much greater. And therefore the chashivus of every small mitzvah carries tremendous weight in Shamayim.
