ladies and gentlemen welcome to our wednesday night class we are learning the zershinshon on parashat mishpatim and as we always know this week is a very interesting torah portion i always say that but i think this evening we're going to be challenged with certain questions and some very strong and prominent life lessons that i'm sure everyone is going to enjoy tonight's class is dedicated number one for the happy birthday of isaac capuano who is a regular with us this evening so thank you very much welcome and happy birthday till 120 in good health and that you should also have a reflection up for your back and live many many more years with your wife your children grandchildren and also hopefully your great grandchildren come visit hashem so mazal tov and thank you everyone for for joining us this week parashat mishpatim follows the immediate episode of the receiving of our torah we know that the torah the ten commandments is mentioned twice in our torah last week being the first in the original the other time in parashat which is in the book of deuteronomy is moses recounting that whole episode but it was literally last week where the ten commandments was given to and received by the jewish people right after that there is a small episode that the torah speaks about the altar the mizbeh where offering
