connection between chanaka and really the beginning of the year in rosh hashanah and that is because chanukah is the inauguration of the world so to speak which takes place three months exactly after hashem god said let there be light on the 25th day of elo and of course that light was not able to function man until man was created on rosh hashanah and then it was inaugurated on hanukkah so this establishes a connection between the beginning of the year and the umph of beginning of the year and the umph of chanukah in fact the safer karen yeshua of rabbishua shapiro the son of the pinay saskar he goes as far as to say that the mymar of took place on rosh hashanah well we know that that's not the case we know the miner of er took place uh five days earlier and in fact on the harass on the safer karnishwa he asks what does that mean the mimer of yehi are i assume what that means is the objective of ehiar was not fulfilled until hayoim harasolam
