If remember that the last four portions of the book of Genesis deal with the life of Joseph and his brothers and by the 12th portion in in Genesis Jacob requests for burial in the land of Israel. Jacob gives out blessings. Jacob dies. He's mourned by all of Egypt. Joseph receives permission for to leave for the burial of his of his father and the tribes buried Jacob in the land of Canaan. Canaan. Joseph reassures his brothers and then Joseph dies and he is promised he makes them promise that they will bury him in the land of Israel. Now So I don't know if we mentioned this about blessings last week but I think it's very important for us to talk about this because if you look in in in this portion you see that um Joseph Jacob gives blessings to all of his children and there's one child who does not two and there's one child who does not two children right who do not seemingly don't get blessings. Who are those who are those two children? Simeon and Levi Simeon and Levi don't get blessings. Why don't they get blessings? They get reprimanded. What do they get reprimanded reprimanded for? You remember we talked about this in the portion of portion number eight where Simeon and Levi decimated the
