[Music] [Applause] [Music] we're going to start today taking a look at Paras Bo which is this week's parasha and uh I want to offer up a uh we call a novel way of understanding the basic message at the beginning of the para and from there we're going to look at some of the fundamental uh works that we have in Jewish philosophy we're going to then move on to some of the foundations we get from cabala as well so today we have God willing a lot of u a lot of complicated material but the end of the day the idea we're going to express is probably the simplest idea that one can ever understand yet it's uh you know the simplest things of course have to be explained properly so let's start with um pares B now what we're going to be talking about is the idea of that God is good that's what we're going to really get to and hopefully we'll uh we'll bring it out in this para although one will ask right away why we talking that God is good in the par where uh we see God you know sending plagues to the Egyptians and the Egyptians causing Jews to suffer you know it's a very very uh difficult time for the Jewish people in part in this week's part and the whole idea of the we call the birth pangs of our Redemption from Egypt it was not so simple we hear about Jewish children being thrown in the in the river you know power persecuting and
