You're listening to the weekly partial podcast with Ari Goldwag, recorded with the Sham's never-ending assistance in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, 5778, 2018. This week's partial is partial of Va'etchanan. And Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses, is speaking to us. He's speaking to all the generations. He's speaking obviously to his own generation. And he's also speaking to us, and he tells us so many beautiful things, so many beautiful statements. And before I get into reading the exact pasuk I want to talk about, I just it's important to understand that we just came out of the three weeks uh leading up to Tisha B'Av. And we had three weeks of tough haftarahs, of reading from the prophets, things that were uh challenging, speaking to the Jewish people about chuvah, speaking about the depths to which the Jewish people have may have fallen or have fallen. Now we have the Shiv'a d'Nechemta. We have seven weeks of nachama, of consolation, leading up to Rosh Hashanah, when we enter back into our relationship with Hashem, with God. And in our parsha, so I want to point out, last week we spoke about the challenges of Esau, who who are the people of Esau, those who destroyed the Temple. And now we're going to speak about more positive, consoling, uh loving things that have that have to do with our relationship with Hashem, with God, and how much he loves us, and how much he's interested in our prayers. The verse says like this.
