it's wonderful to be in Cleveland um you guys can probably tell from my accent that I'm I'm not a New Yorker and uh there are Orthodox Jews in America outside of New York that is true much to the to the shock of the New Yorkers but yeah I'm I'm originally from Chicago which is why I speak normal so you'll you'll understand my accent here in Cleveland I cannot tell you how much labor it took me to um after I actually had children to stop saying roof instead of roof but my children would laugh every time I would say it so I changed over to roof which is still takes conscious effort um so thank you to the committee who organized tonight a lot of work went [Music] into there are parts of obviously this evening that I have no knowledge of but just the parts that I do know about basically planning tonight's uh lecture and getting the topic just right and planning what we should really be focusing on there was so much thought and Care put into that process and it just felt really good to be part of that and if my experience with tonight's event was indicative of the thought and the care that Kiva this wonderful institution this uh this girls high school puts into everything else that they do then I can assure you that the parent body has has done very well and uh made a very good choice of where to send your daughters um we're going to talk tonight about emotional intelligence or emotionally intelligent parenting and I think the first thing that I want to do
