One of the big challenges of guarding one’s eyes is many people watch things because it’s just... it's enjoyable. Many people have hard lives, high pressure lives. Watching different things is relaxing for them. Many people have emotional distress in life, and they’re sort of like trying to escape life. And there are a lot of things you could watch that helps you escape, it's very enjoyable, and it seems to us like it's really helping me. So we want to see together that it's really a big mistake. Really what it's doing and we don't realize is it's destroying us in a tremendous way. And if we would learn how to substitute it with something which is different, we actually could finally merit the joy that we all need and the way to calm ourselves and get away from the worries of life, to relax, but in a positive way. The pasuk says, the Rabeinu Yona in Shaarei Teshuva in Shaar Rishon brings, A desire fulfilled pleases the soul.
