Welcome to Sparks of History, where Jewish history and world history meet. We are very pleased and very honored that with us today Rabbi Moshe Taragin. Rabbi Taragin is a noted author, popular lecturer, and accomplished educator. Rabbi Taragin earned a BA in computer science from Yeshiva College and an MA in English literature from City University. Additionally, Rabbi Taragin received rabbinic ordination Smicha from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary RIETS. An alumnus of Yeshivat Har Etzion, Rabbi Moshe Taragin has been teaching at Yeshivat Har Etzion since 1994. Previously, Rabbi Taragin taught Talmud at Columbia University, lectured in Talmud and Bible at the IBC and JSS divisions of Yeshiva University, and served as assistant rabbi at the Fifth Avenue Synagogue. And today, we will be discussing Rabbi Taragin's fascinating work, Reclaiming Redemption, Deciphering the Maze of Jewish history.
