Lech lecha me artzecha, u'me moladetecha, u'me veis avicha. And the Mishnah says daf in fifth perek in maseches avos asarah nisyonos nisnasa Avraham Avinu v'amad b'chulam. Rashi writes, v'amad b'chulam v'lo hirher acharei midosav shel Hakadosh Baruch Hu. Rashi means it's not only that he didn't violate what Hakadosh Baruch Hu told him. It's not only that he did what Hakadosh Baruch Hu told him to do. He did so with his whole heart. And he never questioned Hakadosh Baruch Hu's ways. I'm a son of survivors. My father and mother were both in Auschwitz. This coming week is my mother's yahrzeit. She should be a melitzas yosher. And I'm a talmid of the Klausenberger who was the ultimate survivor, and he lost his wife and all of his 11 children, and not even one of them survived. And many, many years ago so it's not in a public derasha, but in a private conversation he spoke about the day years of the Holocaust and losing his entire family. And he said of ein rega hob ich nisht mir herrer geven acharei midosav shel Hakadosh Baruch Hu. Not for a moment did I ever question Hakadosh Baruch Hu's ways. And I remember then I, you know, I I trembled hearing those words, and I am moved deeply every time I remember that that scenario, and I and I quote those words. So Chazal say chai avodam lo im amaseh egia maseh l'maseh avosai. And And think he was a Godel that could say, "Hey, give my say the Messiah of a tie." So, Avraham Avinu was put to test.
