The Jewish Game of Conquest, part seven. Today we're going to be speaking about the city of Basleim. So if you look on your map, you'll see the city of Blem is immediately south of Jerusalem. It's right right underneath Jerusalem. That's the city of Blem. It's in the territory of Yehuda because it's right next to Yushim. So it's obviously in the territory of Yehuda. The name Bim literally means Bim means the house of literally means Bim means the house of bread. Base is the house and is of bread. They in Arabic it's interesting in Arabic actually means meat. So blem in Arabic means the house of meat. I guess it sort of it depends on how you look at things. What's your staple food? But I guess for in Arabic culture maybe the staple food is meat and in maybe Jewish culture the staple food is more bread. So lem just means food is more bread. So lem just means like the main food. You could say it like that. The archaeologists want to say that originally this city is actually predates the Jewish conquest. It existed you know in canonite times and earlier. And they want to say that the city was actually originally named after a Babylonian god named Lakmu, some sort of Babylonian idol called Lakmu, Lakmu or something like that. And so the city bas Lak was originally named after that. And they say it maintained the name B Lam
