We once said a class on the kohanim that uh the male descendants of Aaron are the ones who are going to serve in the temple. And uh they are forbidden from firstly coming in contact with the dead other than their own immediate than their own immediate relatives. They're not allowed to go to funerals or cemeteries except to their own immediate relatives. funerals. It's a Jewish custom to bury the relatives of kohanim at the edges of the cemetery in order that they can the relative the kanim can visit their graves without having to walk into um the cemetery. Then um the we're told that a cohen is forbidden from marrying a um a woman who is a who different women who have um are either children from have um are either children from forbidden relations or have had forbidden relations as well as a divorcee. Um a cohen god a high priest is also in addition to being is not allowed to become tabby come in contact with any relatives um any dead even their own relatives unlike a regular cohin. And the high priest is forbidden from uh is um is forbidden from becoming um forbidden from h marrying a divorcee like a regular cohen as well as a widow.
