Belief in something gives it koach. That's how it works." By the way, it works with everything like that. Something's as strong as we believe in it. And as strong as we mock it and don't give it chashivus, so then it it doesn't it it has the power according to how much we believe in it. Prayer's that way. Mitzvos that There's a pasuk in Mishlei, if you want one source, "Yei'ra emitzvo hu yeshulam." Mitzvos are mekadesh a person, they impact a person, depends how much you take the mitzvah seriously. If you believe in the mitzvah, the Gevuras Ari was metzaveh, the mitzvah's impact. A mitzvah impacts according to your belief in it. People work that way. Believe in them and they have it unleashes a chashivus in them because you see it, because you understand it, it unleashes. The Berditchever would be mekarev Yidden in Elul by the hundreds.
