Good morning, everyone. Shalom aleichem and baruch haba'im. Welcome to our Erev Shabbos edition of the shiurim. Uh it's great to see everybody. It's after Tisha B'Av. Even though usually Yud Av is also a hemshech of the aveilus, but because it's Erev Shabbos, so a lot of the aveilus has already lifted, and we look forward to Shabbos Nachamu. We're going to speak about Shabbos Nachamu upcoming. It's a big Shabbos. Nachamu upcoming. It's a big Shabbos. I see we have a um a dear chasan on the shiur today. I believe this Shabbos is his aufruf. Bezras Hashem much the chasan should be b'sha'ah tovah u'mutzlachas. Should be zocheh l'havin b'yishuv da'as u'v'yishuv ha'da'as. Okay, the first shiur today, smuchim meyad, we're connecting parshas Va'eschanan to Devarim. Here we go, I'm putting up the mareh mekomos on the screen. screen. Okay. Putting up the mareh mekomos on the screen. >> [sighs] >> Smuchim meyad. Check this out. Va'eschanan el Hashem ba'eis ha'hi leimor. Moshe Rabbeinu said, "I supplicated to Hashem at that time saying." At that time, Rashi explains, "After I conquered Sichon and Og, I thought maybe hutar haneder. I thought maybe the maybe hutar haneder. I thought maybe the neder was uh off." B'heich no. Think about what Rashi's saying. Rashi's saying Moshe Rabbeinu says, "I davened to Hashem at that time leimor." We know that Moshe Rabbeinu offered 515 tefillos to be zocheh to go into Eretz Yisrael. In fact, the Shulchan Aruch says that we always read Va'eschanan after Tisha B'Av. The remez is tzeimu v'tzeilu. fast on Tisha B'Av, and then pray for the Beit Hamikdash incessantly. Tzei mu v'tzei lu, tzei mu v'tzei lu.
