The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Efrem Goldberg’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.
Adar, but we hope and we pray that the month of Adar has entered us. Mishehnichnas Adar, marbin b'simcha. When we enter Adar, we're filled with joy, but when Adar enters us, what is Adar entering us? The month Adar, the word Adar means alef dar, the one and only, the aluf, the mighty God. When we invite God into our lives, when we feel His presence, when we feel His love, then marbin b'simcha. Instead of having panic, anxiety, worry, envy, arrogance, anger, all we feel is simcha. I look around and everything is by design, everything is for a reason. So in my everything is for a reason. So in my last class this morning, when the internet gave out and abruptly ended it, and I started to feel frustrated, I said, "No. Obviously, what I had to say at the end wasn't meant to be heard. I was saying it to me, myself, and I. It wasn't meant to be proclaimed to the world." And if I lose you now cuz the internet for some reason, Kadosh Baruchu, there's no snow outside, it's a beautiful day, and yet the internet's playing with us. Everything's from Hashem, it's all min Hashamayim. It's all from Hakadosh Baruchu. So, we get together to remember Adar Adar that Hakadosh Baruchu has dirah betachtonim.
