hi everybody welcome to the sequel toronto tonight we're going to be doing secret number 72 which is about prayer and about the difficulties that lie within prayer and advice to overcome so let's just dive right in again number 72 let me pull up the share screen okay here we are 72. you may be influenced by false motives you may be influenced by false motives and distracted by many outside thoughts when you pray ignore them completely do your part and say all your prayer all the prayers in order ignoring all disturbing thoughts do what you must and disregard these thoughts completely so rabbi nachman tells us that when some people dive in they do it for all the wrong reasons right maybe they want to get rich so they dive in or maybe to solve a certain issue they're having or maybe it's to look good in front of your neighbor to look impressive you know and impressive you know and then there are other people who dive in and their mind is just full of distractions their head is all over the place you know they're in 50 places at once so robbie nachman tells us just keep on going diving in the correct order and ignore all these distractions disregard them the rebbe also said that these disturbing thoughts actually benefit our prayers without distracting thoughts prayer would be impossible tremendous powers are always at work
