Good morning. Okay, so this week's para we start the book of Dvar, the book of Deuteronomy. So we're up to the last book of the Torah. And um we the book of Deuteronomy is essentially most the book is Moshe speaking to the people, telling them off, reminding them of the various things that happened in the desert. Um, and then the rest of the book is going to be Moshe repeating many of the commandments. Some of the commandments Mosha is going to repeat have not yet been mentioned. Some have been been mentioned. Some have been mentioned. He mentions them now for a second time. Sometimes the details are a little bit different. So then that's the whole most of the book of Deuteronomy is going to be Mosha's speeches. So we begin the first speech in this week's parha where Moshe begins by first telling them about how they um appointed leaders in the desert and then he tells them how they went to um they went to Kadesh to the edge or Kadesh Baret which was at the edge of Kadesh Baret which was at the edge of the promised land and over there they want to send spies and he tells the whole story of how they sent spies and the spies came back and said it's a wonderful land but we're not able to conquer it it's too well fortified and the people are too strong and the people therefore said they did not want to go into the land and they complained and they cried and um as a result um the Hashems punished them and said they don't want to go into the land they will not get to go into land except for two of the spies who came back insisting we will can and we can go into land that was Joshua and Khalif
