good morning boca welcome back to partial perspectives for today continues to be amazing and wonderful and feeling so blessed to be able to be together and to be able to learn torah in person grateful for the opportunity to also share more broadly and more widely for those who cannot be here in person but of course if you can we love to and long to see you this is a very special edition of the parasha perspectives for today because today is the first year site of rabbi lord jonathan sachsek and the rabbi sachs legacy foundation has asked us and included us in programs and events around the world that are commemorating this first europe site by sharing rabbi sax's torah what greater legacy is there for a person than promoting and sharing their torah his lips continue to quiver from the grave he continues to teach he continues to uplift he continues to inspire so today's entire sheer is dedicated a partial perspective through the lens of rabbi sax and what we'll do is both talk about rabbi sacks and let rabbi we're now a year since we lost her by sex and it continues to be truly a devastating loss a loss of who he was as an individual as a person a loss of what he represented in this world the light with which he illuminated the world not just the jewish world but the entire world around us and the lost not only what was but when i think about the devastating loss of rabbi sax i don't only think about who he was as an individual that he's no longer here
