all right well thank you all again great to see everybody we're going to dedicate tonight's class in memory of moshe uh mosey shema [Music] and the understanding and love of that comes from it should also go to his merit amen should also go to his merit amen we want to uh touch on an area tonight that i think is is important exciting interesting maybe a little challenging god willing in terms of our perspective about the galut about exodus about egypt in particular and about the galut about exodus in general so that would mean that we're going to take the beginning of the story of shemot we're going to look at it carefully we're going to look at it carefully and we're going to blow it up as it's meant to be blown up to represent what our galuyot what our exodus will forever be when our travels outside of the land of israel will forever be and i think some of the perspectives here are new and fresh uh if not new they'll be important reminders to many of us and help us frame a number of important things in terms of our lives and in things in terms of our lives and in terms of how we look at the process the experience of the jewish people and with god's help uh when uh whoever's uh has noise in the background please mute everybody else questions thoughts as we've done in the past as much sharing and interaction as possible so let's start with as we typically do with our paradigms the axioms the core principles from which we build so the first one is that the book of shemot
