Okay, welcome my boy. I'm going to have Shabbos. We're continuing pirkei avot. Today's share is dedicated by my dear friend Shulav in loving memory of his mother Chaya Esther bas Tamara whose yahrzeit is today. Her fifth yahrzeit Chaya Esther bas Tamara began Eden timnu chasa. She should be a melitza yeshara for her family. I'd be ask al tzedek. Perek gimmel mishnah yud aleph. Rebbi Elazar Hamodai omer. Rebbi Elazar Hamodai says, Hamichalel es hakodashim, one who defiles the sacrificial property, umvazeh es hamoados, one who disparages the holidays, umefair bris eshel Avraham Avinu, one who annuls the covenant of Abraham, umalbin pnei chaveiro barabim, one who shames his friend publicly, umegaleh panim batorah, and one who uncovers views in Torah that are not correct, af al pi she yesh bo Torah, umasim tovim, even if he has Torah knowledge and good deeds, ein lo chelek leolam haba. Says Rabbeinu Yonah, Rebbi Elazar Hamodai omer, Hamichalel es hakodashim, zeh hamifagel es hakodashim, one who has improper thoughts when dealing with sacrificial parts, umetamem, and he defiles them, echa kodashim mizbeach, whether it's something that would be sacrificed on the mizbeach, veecha kodashim beis hakavayos, or something that would be donated to the Temple fund by misappropriating them, ila hamichalel es ham, one who defiles them, ein lo chelek leolam haba. So, that's one teaching. Teaching number two. Umvazeh shamayim days, when he shames yamim tovim. It juxtaposes these two things. What's the What's the connection between mechallel hakodashim and mevazeh shamayim days? They're both called kodashim. By kodashim k'siv kodesh kodashim. By kodashim it says the words kodesh kodashim. Over moadim k'siv These are the appointed times of Hashem that you should call them holy occasions.
