The main problem which, uh, exist in dealing with the international date line in Halakha is the problem of demonstrating that there has to be a date line somewhere on Earth. Means there has to be a line which when you pass over from one side, you're going to go forward 24 hours. When you pass over to the other side, you're going to go backwards 24 hours. This is imperative. There must be some place on Earth where this occurs. Why? I'm That's what I'm going to try to explain. The, uh, let us say that the international date line hypothetically ran through Muncie, New York. Okay? So, Muncie, New York is New York is over here, okay? So, if it ran through Muncie, New York, then what would happen is like this. Right now in Muncie, New York, let's say it's 8:00, right? It's 8:00 p.m. on what day? Wednesday, right? Let's travel to Los Angeles. What time is it there? 4:00 5:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, right? Yeah. Same day, earlier in the day. Let's travel now a quarter of the way around the Earth from Muncie. A quarter of the way around the Earth from Muncie will give us, more or less, the middle of the Pacific Ocean in Samoa. So, there, what time is it? 12:00. Midnight, or Yeah, midnight. No, we're going back in time. 12:00. No. 8:00 a.m. 2:00 It's 2:00 p.m. Why? 2:00 p.m. It's 2:00 p.m. It's 6 hours, right? A quarter of the globe is 6 hours. So, if it's 8:00 p.m. here,
