Shalom. Let's take a moment to reflect together. Tonight, we're diving into a topic that just about every thinking person naturally hopes for. To live a long life, a life filled with health, happiness, and meaning. A healthy body, a healthy mind, and inner peace. But most people feel like that's something out of their hands. I can try to live a balanced life, but how long I'll be around, whether I'll stay healthy, that's up to fate, not me. But actually, our sages, Chazal, teach that it's very much in our hands. The Talmud Yui makes a shocking statement. Out of every 100 people who pass away, 99 don't die at the time originally designated for them by heaven. They die early because of how they treated their bodies. The exact words are 99 through negligence and one by the decree of heaven. In other words, taking care of your health both physically and spiritually can actually help you live longer even more. Chazal tell us that just like a person can shorten their lifespan through negative choices, it's also possible to lengthen it through positive ones. When we align our lives with a deeper sense of purpose and live in a way that respects both body and soul. Let's look at what Schlom Muhamm King Solomon writes in Mish Proverbs. His words often seem brief and poetic, but when you look deeper, they hold incredible insight. And today, we'll even see how some of his teachings line up with what modern research is starting to confirm. For example, in Proverbs 10:27, he says, "Yas Hashem adds days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened." Now, what does that mean? Yas hashem adds days. Yas hashem
