0:00 'Therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days.' 'Let each man stay in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.' Notice that we see that Hashem, blessed be He, gives the Jewish people on the sixth day bread for two days. Why? He gave them this bread, the manna, He gave it to them for Friday and for Shabbos. On Shabbos He did not give them - He did not bring down manna for them. And so we see from here the segulah, that like this - from here I learn from it, that on Shabbos, after all, I do not read Parshas HaMan; I read on Friday 'bread for two days.' I read it twice.

0:29 And also another thing that I try to do - and this is remembering the manna, from the Torah: I try not to taste anything - of course, only after we read Parshas HaMan - always, so that it is the first thing we read when it comes to eating; just as one prays so as not to eat before prayer: 'and Me you have cast behind your back.' we first of all pray, say Parshas HaMan, and then it is as if we received the manna that came down to us from heaven, and now one may eat.

0:54 Only after Parshas HaMan. Okay, yes, [unclear], I say. It's possible. And then after the manna, right away I take a drop, half a teaspoon of honey, a drop, a little honey, and I say, 'in remembrance of the manna' - 'and its taste was like a wafer in honey' - in remembrance of the manna, I make the blessing Shehakol, and this is the first taste - of the manna, as it were. This is how I have practiced this for many years, It is a very great thing. It is worth your doing - it is my own invention, it is not something important; do what you want.

1:21 But there is in this a remembrance from the Torah.
