there is an expectation some people have that since there's a war between religion and Science and some people's mind religion and logic they have a religious point of view you have to hold a human logic to be very weak very weak very fallible can't be trusted um I think the opposite is the case I'm not speaking for other religions but as far as Torah is concerned the Torah considers human logic to be very strong and very accurate not perfect another human is perfect but very strong and very accurate and the way I know this is because many things the Torah tells us to do depend crucially on the accuracy of human logic if Urologic weren't accurate we couldn't do the things that Torah tells us to do so I want to give you some examples of where the directives of the Torah specifically rely on the accuracy of human logic first of all there's a great body of Jewish law for that to be mastered and applied requires scholarship careful reasoning creativity logic without that nobody of law that's going to govern the life of a Nation is practical you haven't got ability to think logically and correctly so it's simply not possible it's not possible to master it to analyze it to understand it and secondly to apply to the world relies on having some accurate knowledge about the world if our logic was so weak that we couldn't have reliable information about the world
