But uh I want to tell you a story first to introduce what I'm going to talk about uh about the PES program. And that is um I moved to Los Angeles in 1977. My parents still refer to it as me running away from home. And I went to LA. I was working in what was then called the Hebrew Amech Hebrew High School, Ach High School. Today it's called VTC under Rab Shia Cohen. And uh I was uh I was there for uh a year and then over the summer I ran Hill Day Camp in Beverly Hills. I was the assistant director and uh and the next year I was teaching an AM Hebrew Academy and I was tricked into taking an NCSY chapter.
