um we are live. So, um firstly, today is um this week there's only one para left in the Torah which is para vizot. We are not going to read at this shabas because this shabas is going to be sukkot. On suko we read a special reading from para kitisa about how Hashem forgave the people after worshiping the golden calf. um we read that on Shabas and then we're going to read the final para on uh next Wednesday will be Torah and we'll talk more about Torah God willing next week and then we'll talk about both the portion of the zotra and the first portion of the final portion of the Torah as well as the first portion of the Torah besid that we're going to read in two weeks or a week from this Saturday we're going to already begin the Torah from the beginning but for now tomorrow Tonight we will be starting the 7-day festival of Sukkot which then follows following the 7-day festival in diaspora we have a two-day festival known by its biblical name as Shmini and known by its um common name as simkat to Torah. Sometimes the first day is referred to as Shmmini and the second day is referred to as simhra. Um we've previously done classes where we spoke about what simhra is and how it evolved. It's a custom that came somewhat late in our history. It's a over a thousand years old, but still for us that's pretty late. Um, and so, uh, but we spoke about the custom of Torah and completing the Torah and the Torah cycle. We once had a class dedicated to that. Uh, but so we'll talk
