[Music] the topic I'd like to discuss today is faith and rationale and I'd like to begin with the words of perhaps one of the greatest thinkers in Judaism the Rambam Maimonides he lived in in Spain he was also one of the adopter for the king of Egypt over about a thousand years ago but his words still live on today and as a passage in one of the treaties which he wrote on Jewish law called you sewed a hat over the principles of the tailor and he suggests the following thought they're following insight and I'm almost going to quote almost verbatim the words of how the Rambam Maimonides expresses himself when a person looks around and observes and discerns and perceives the enormous wisdom that there is in the creation let's start the animal the minimal the vegetable world the enormous number of species the birds the fish the animals the fowls the Flies whatever there is in the animal kingdom and all their different properties and propensity and their different abilities that they have the minimal world of gold and silver and wood and metal and coal and all that there is and the vegetable world the world of food and besides we haven't even discussed the galaxies and the universe and the stars and the planets and beyond when a person looks and sees he realizes that there is in front of him a creation where there is no limit to the extent of wisdom nor to the to the value of everything that is created a small example but it speaks for itself how much
