In 1947, the United Nations passed a resolution for the creation of both the Jewish and an Arab state by partitioning the British mandate, but the Arab world rejected the plan, couldn't stand the thought of a Jewish land, and the armies of five Arab nations attacked. It was an act of war, so the Jews fought back. Thousands on both sides wound up dead in the violence. Many Palestinians fled, and the families of these who ran away and the families of these who ran away are the refugees you hear about today. But there's another story that must be told, not as well known, but it's just as old, about the Jewish refugees forced to flee from almost every Arab country. Don't forget about the Jewish refugees forced to flee from their home countries, Tunisian, Yemenite, Lebanese, the Turkish, Moroccan, and Iraqi, Iranian, Jordanian, and Syrian, Egyptian, Libyan, and Algerian. God only
