What’s said in this shiur

The opening of this shiur, in Vayimaen’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

Yosef is called Yosef Hatzadik. We say every Yuntif in the רבונו של עולם: "כחלומותיו של יוסף הצדיק" Our good dreams should be נתקיים like the dreams of Yosef Hatzadik. Why is Yosef called Yosef Hatzadik? Why does Yosef have this extra title added next to his name? The Rambam says, in Hilchos Yesodei Hatorah, that those that strengthen themselves and hold themselves back from the biggest Nisyonos in the world, they’re worthy of the title Tzadik. Yosef’s not the only one that has a title next to his name. We have: Adam Harishon. Avraham Avinu. Moshe, with the title Rabeinu. Aharon Hakohen. Dovid Hamelech. Lots of people in Klal Yisrael have a title next to their name. But there’s one difference, and lets ask a קשיא: Adam Harishon, that was his lifetime achievement. He was the first human being. He was the person that Shtelled Avek humanity. Avraham Avinu, from the time of Ur Kasdim, until his Petirah, he was constantly teaching Klal Yisrael Torah, and Shtelling Avek Klal Yisrael, being the Av Hamon Goyim. Moshe Rabeinu, taught Klal Yisrael until יומו האחרון, until the last day. All of them, their title next to their name represents a lifetime achievement, a full life’s work.
