Kabbalistic explanation of the Yemai Sefira, but nevertheless, it's a statement which has uh taken on a life of its own. And the Ramban says uh he compares the Yom Tov of Pesach, the seven days of Pesach, to the Yom Tov of Sukkot. And the Ramban says the following. Just like the Yom Tov of Sukkot, it has Yom Tov, it has days of uh Issur Melacha. In between you have Yemai Chol HaMoed following followed by what is called Shmini Atzeret. It's the same thing with the Yom Tov of Pesach. And that is you have seven days of Issur Melacha, seven days of Yom Tov. You have days in between Yom Tov and Shavuot. Shavuot in the Torah is also called what? Atzeret. So says the Ramban, just like Sukkot, the days in between Sukkot and Shmini Atzeret are called Chol HaMoed. So too says the Ramban, when it comes to the Yom Tov of Pesach, you have Pesach, you have Atzeret, which is Shavuot, and the Yemai Sefira says the Ramban are analogous to Chol HaMoed. If you take a look at number one, the Ramban says that Sivan, the third line, "The Chag HaMatzot shiva yamim bikdusha lifneihem." You have seven days of holiness before them. "Uli achareihem." And you have holiness after them. "Ki kulam kedoshim." They are all holy. God is in between them. You count 49 days like the days of the world. We sanctify the eighth day. In other words, we sanctify the Shavuot like the eighth day of Sukkot. In time and the days that are counted in between them They're like Chol HaMoed. They're like the eighth day of Sukkot. That the day of Shavuot is analogous to Shemini Atzeret and the days in between are like Chol HaMoed. So we would like to explain the meaning of this that the
