The Gemara in Sanhedrin daf kuf ches brings the opinion of Rebbe Yochanan that only in his generation was he a tzaddik. Had he been in another generation, he would have not been a tzaddik. Rebbe Yochanan is doresh the pasuk leginai. Actually, just I want to digress for a moment. There is a Devar Torah that people like to say that Rashi says "Yesh me Rabbeinu she doresh leshvach veyish she doresh leginai." veyish she doresh leginai." Why those who are doresh leginai does Rashi not call Rabbeinu? So there's a popular Devar Torah, well, cuz they're not being pop they're not being positive. So therefore they're not called Rabbeinu. That's very cute. It's also very wrong. Because those who are doresh leginai were most definitely Rabbeinu. It's Rebbe Yochanan in the Gemara in Sanhedrin. So that's an example of why not every fluffy idea that makes you feel good are you authorized to stuff into the pasuk. you authorized to stuff into the pasuk. Okay? Certainly those who are doresh leginai are Rabbeinu. Anyway, but what is motivating Rebbe Yochanan to be doresh leginai? The safer Be'er Sheva of Rebbe Eiger Eilenberg says Rebbe Yochanan is going leshitasai in the Medrash that Noach was miktan emunah. And he would not go into the teivah until the water pushed him. So therefore, leshitasai he's doresh the pasuk leginai. It says "Vayelid Noach shlosha banim as
