0:00 The manna was coated with sapphire stones, and from this the Jewish people grew rich. Each one would bring them to his wife. Whoever peeled the manna would find... Why 'like frost'? The frost was sapphire stones, which he would take out and make into precious stones and pearls for his wife; he would bring it to her. 'Flaky, fine as frost on the ground.' 'And the children of Israel saw, and they said one to another, Man hu, for they did not know what it was.' The Jewish people had bodily blemishes.
0:26 So when they ate the manna, They camped the first Shabbos at Alush, and then they were healed. The Holy One, blessed be He, said: let it not be said that people with blemishes received the Torah. No one recognized the other: 'That's Yosef? Hey — he was without hands, and suddenly he has hands. 'They said one to another, Man hu': who is this? 'For they did not know what it was': they did not recognize him — that this was that same person who had been... ...and had become healthy. 'And Moshe said to them: It is the bread...' Something that is found in no other thing.
0:52 And so the Jewish people, precisely when they left Egypt... Yes, when the Jewish people leave Egypt, I said: they leave Egypt, from an exile so severe, such hardship and bondage, and the first thing they see is the sea. The sea is a great and awesome secret. And so even the splitting of the Yam Suf, the Holy One, blessed be He, makes the Song of the Sea for us: He shows us, in the Torah scroll, that there is a change.
1:20 It is not like... it is not in tzimtzum. Yes, the secret of the tzimtzum. Even Parshas HaMan — Parshas HaMan is an overturning of nature: He brought down for them 'bread from heaven'; but here we see that the Song of the Sea is a great and awesome praise of the Holy One, blessed be He. It is the highest and greatest praise that the Holy One, blessed be He, received. In Tractate Megillah, page 10, the Gemara says — it is written about the Egyptians — they said, 'These and those are idol worshippers.' He said: 'The work of My hands is drowning in the sea, and you are saying a song?'
1:46 What are you saying a song for? The Holy One, blessed be He, does not want to hear this song. On Chanukah, where we say the full Hallel with a blessing, it is a miracle, and it is Rabbinic, there is one who holds that it is from the Torah — the miracles that were done for the Jewish people — the Rambam writes, in the Laws of Megillah, chapter 3. We see from here that the great miracle of Chanukah, 'in those days, at this time,' is Rabbinic. Here it is a miracle from the Torah, from the Torah — the Holy One, blessed be He, performs the greatest miracle — and on Pesach there is no full Hallel, all seven days there is no full Hallel, apart from the first day.
2:13 So the Shibolei HaLeket, cited in the Beis Yosef, says it is because of 'The work of My hands is drowning in the sea, and you are saying a song?' On the seventh day of Pesach, because that is the Song of the Sea, as you know, on the seventh day of Pesach, He said: 'The work of My hands is drowning in the sea, and you are saying a song?' There is no praise here for the Holy One, blessed be He, because these are still the work of the hands of the Holy One, blessed be He. So the Holy One, blessed be He, does not want to receive the praise. Only the One who created the world, only the One who created the world and created all creatures, can choose not to want to hear a song from His children

2:42 at the greatest miracle that He performs, when He splits the sea. And even in the Torah scroll there is an overturning and a change from the whole scroll itself, in honor of the Song. In the song of Haazinu, and here. But one sees the overturning and the revelation, that the Holy One, blessed be He, splits the sea, and this is, as it were, the most wondrous miracle. The Holy One, blessed be He, did not want this Hallel with a blessing on the seventh day of Pesach, and so all seven days we do not say it, because of 'The work of My hands is drowning in the sea, and you are saying a song?'
3:08 Only the One who created the world can Himself do this. It is like what happened with King Shlomo, when she said: 'Keep the living child for yourself; I do not want the child.' That is what I said. The Holy One, blessed be He — only He, who created all creatures and created all that is created, all of them — He does not want to hear a song. It is only the One who created the world — only He can heal the Jewish people. And it is interesting that here, exactly in this parashah — the splitting of the Yam Suf, right after it 'Vayomer,' for all healings, and right after that, the livelihood.
3:36 All together on the same column, each one within the other; its end is wedged in its beginning. So this is the revelation of the light, and the splitting of the Yam Suf — it is a revelation of the Ein Sof. It is also the revelation of the alefs — a'alefcha chochmah, 'I will teach you wisdom' — 'I will teach you wisdom.' The Rav will see it. Here it is... Once more, how does it go: 'Amar,' alef. 'Oyev,' alef. 'Erdof,' alef. 'Asig,' alef. 'Achalek.' A few more alefs. The Rav will see how many alefs there are here...
4:02 'And the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the water was a wall for them on their right and on their left.'
