yet again on this Parsha, I won't take the time and go through it now. We have so much else we want to see. How do you spell Pinchas? With a yud? With no yud? Malei? Chaser? How does it appear? The name Yissachar, how do you pronounce it? Yissachar? Yissachar? All kinds of fascinating How long did Pinchas live? We see that he is represented beyond Chumash into Tanach. How long did he live? And much, much more. But I'll share with you one instance interesting insight that he quotes. And he says the following. In the Sefer Bnei Yissachar quotes bishnas kvius shem pshuta chukas Balak Nifrados umatos umasos mechubaros. Vilama lo be hepech? Why is it sometimes we combine Parshas, sometimes we read them separately, sometimes we are in sync with the reading in Eretz Yisrael, sometimes we are a week behind? How is it divided? Why is it organized in this fashion in this way? Our parsha contains within it the complaint Lamani Gara again of Bnos Tzelafchad, the daughters of Tzelafchad want to inherit the land of Israel. There's a love, a chibuvus. They cherish, there's an affection, there's a yearning to be and to be part of and to own a piece of Eretz Yisrael. So, we specifically design the calendar of Torah reading so that the reading of this parsha falls during the three weeks, bein hametzarim, this time of exile, this time of destruction, this time of distance from our land or our land in its fullest sense, we read these parshios. So, not only do we read Mattos, Masei, Devarim, which have explicit direct reference to the division of the land, but Pinchas also has the allusion to the division of the land because it invokes the complaint of the daughters of
